This Privacy Policy explains how Get Paid Gigs (“Get Paid Gigs,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use getpaidgigs.com and related services (the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, mobile phone number and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Profile information: city, state, ZIP code, how you describe your network, and any social media profile links you choose to add.
- Business information: for business accounts, company name, contact person, EIN, licenses, address and service area.
- Referral information: when a Scout submits a referral, the referred person's name, contact details, service location and notes, which the Scout confirms they have permission to share.
- Payment information: payout and billing details are collected and processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card or bank account numbers.
- Usage information: device, browser, pages visited and similar technical data collected through cookies required to keep you signed in.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account, including verifying your email address and phone number.
- To show opportunities, deliver referrals to businesses, track status and pay earnings.
- To review and approve business accounts and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To send service messages about your account, referrals and payouts.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax reporting for payouts.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide a mobile number and agree to receive texts, we send account verification codes and security messages to that number. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts and HELP for help, or contact hello@getpaidgigs.com.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share phone numbers only with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.
How we share information
- With businesses on the platform: referral details you submit go to the business you refer them to. Businesses see a Scout's name, city and referral history, not their password or payout details.
- With service providers: hosting, database, email and SMS delivery, payment processing and customer support providers, who may use the information only to provide services to us.
- For legal reasons: when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
We do not sell personal information.
Data retention and security
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax and dispute purposes. We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls to protect information.
Your choices
- Update your profile information from your account at any time.
- Opt out of texts by replying STOP. Opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link.
- Request access to or deletion of your information by emailing hello@getpaidgigs.com.
Children
The Service is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
