Does it cost anything to join as a Scout?+
No. Creating a Scout account is free. You only ever earn money on Get Paid Gigs — you never pay to participate.
How much can I earn?+
Each opportunity shows its payout up front, set by the business: a fixed amount per accepted lead and per closed deal, a commission per product sale, or a fee per influencer campaign.
When do I get paid?+
Earnings become available after the business approves the lead, deal or sale and a short hold period passes. You can then cash out to your bank account.
Do I need a big social following?+
No. Referrals and product sharing work with any network — friends, family, coworkers, neighbors. Influencer campaigns are optional and need linked social accounts.
Who decides whether a lead counts?+
The business reviews each referral and marks it as a lead, a deal or rejected, with a reason. If you disagree with a decision, you can ask our team to review it.
Will I get a tax form?+
Yes. Earnings are income, so we collect a W-9 when you set up payouts and issue a 1099 when required by the IRS.
How do businesses join?+
Businesses register, submit their company details (including EIN and licenses), and are approved by our team before posting opportunities. They fund a budget and only pay for results.
Is it okay to refer someone without asking them?+
No. Always talk to the person first. Every referral requires you to confirm they're interested in hearing from the business.
